Travelling between Sydney and Perth via Adelaide and vice versa, the Indian Pacific covers 4,352 kilometres providing a spectacular array of backdrops including the Blue Mountains, the salt lakes and vineyards of South Australia, the barren Nullarbor Plain and the Avon Valley. Whether your final destination on the Indian Pacific is Perth or Sydney, you’ll have many opportunities to leave the train and take in some of the region’s highlights. Gold Service Twin. The Indian Pacific’s Gold Twin cabins offer you all the comfort, hospitality and facilities to make your train holiday a truly special and memorable experience.   •  Kalgoorlie:
  • Kalgoorlie-Boulder is the largest city in Western Australia that still has that sense of adventure and the characters of the early gold rush.
  •  Adelaide: Explore the city sights by coach or visit the bustling Adelaide Central Markets. Broken Hill: Visit Pro Hart gallery and view the artworks of the late Kevin Pro Hart, or visit The Miner’s Memorial, a unique and striking structure that sits at a height of 54 metres overlooking Broken Hill.

Outback Stops

  • Cook: Stretch your legs and explore the old railway town of Cook. Use the self-guided map provided to walk around the town and explore.
